'TEGAN" Was adopted by one of
our volunteer who just loves the Shih Tzu face. And doesn't
she have the most darling of faces?
MUFFY SUE: was given
up for adoption as her elderly owner could not care for her. She was
adopted by another older woman and has plenty of family also to back up in her
care.
THANK YOU PET LINE 9 - CHANNEL 9 NEWS TEAM!
On Wednesday November 1 we went live to feature 3 rescue dogs and came home to 29 messages and phones ringing off the hook! We were able to adopt out:
Merrie
We got 4 older
puppies in rescue and here are the last two going to new home(s). They
will be able to continue to see and play with one another which is swell as they
do adore each other.
And the other brother was adopted by one of our Rescue Volunteers..she hasn't sent a photo in yet...
And here is
their sister going to her new home, she was the first to get adopted!
Teddy finally found a new home
with a family who have other dogs with similar allergy problems, and dad just
loves him, so they are in for the long mile.
Bear, a 2.5 year old Pom-Tzu
was a very awesome dog, who just had some housebreaking issues. Here he is
with new grandma getting ready to fly to South Carolina to his new family who
had another Pom-Tzu they adopted from us about 3 years ago...they are very
excited!
GYPSEE ( Right) was adopted
to keep company a 13 year old Shih Tzu. Small world, this couple live just
about a block from our mountain retreat in Como! We are sure Gypsee will
be very happy and we can even visit on the weekends.
"LIL"
(On Left) was adopted by Ellie Shem's mom, as Ellie needed a playmate after
staying at the "Ranch", she got used to having pals to run around with.
We are soooo excited for both Lil' and Ellie.
SHORTCAKE, Found a perfect home to retire in with a nice retiree (Lunne), who
has a grandson Louis who visits often and a wonderful son (Josh) who found
Shortcake for his mom. We are sooo happy for Shortcake! She is an
awesome x-mommy dog from Fuzzypups!.
ELLIE: Was a
special needs child who was adopted by this nice couple - who think she is
really great! They almost adopted "Teddy", but Ellies cute face won
out.
EMMA a 3 year old with an attitude. When she gets left alone, she
would poop and/or pee to show her displeasure. Other than that, she
was very sweet. She was adopted by a previous rescue dog owner who's
dog died and she needed someone to fix her broken heart...what a perfect match!
MIL: (left) found a new home from a
grooming client - so now has a new older doggie brother "Petey" to pal around
with. She also now a stay-at-home mom and a new human brother to
keep her busy. And her new Dad is such a Shih-Tzu lover he doesn't even go
on vacations as he doesn't want to leave his 4-legged kids behind.
J Lo was a young Pomeranian who
was hit by a car, her owners were unable to pay her vet bills so they left her
at a local shelter, and they fixed her up. She is now a 3-legged
Pomeranian working with a new mom at Craig Rehabilation Center - how
appropriate!
TILLIE (on left) : made it into a
new family that already had adopted a Bichon from us a year ago. Chicadee
will now have a bigger sister to boss around and Tillie, actually won't mind at
all.
MUFFIN was
adopted into a new family with another Bichon to play with and boy does she look
happy!
BABY: (center) is a 4
year old Bichon who is now surrounded by lots of fun with two other Bichons and
two new hu-parents to love on her.
CASSIDY and AMANDA
are senior citizens, living with senior citizens who could no longer care for
her so she went to retire at a semi-retired household who is better able to get
her up and down stairs and in and out side for potty breaks.
Ellie (left in t-shirt) came to
rescue due to allergy problems. We referred to our vet, changed her diet
and added some special shampoo to her regiment and she is doing just GREAT with
her new family - complete with another Bichon and kids to love on her!
Willie (left) came to rescue when
his family just did not have enough time to give to him. He now has
another playmate as well as a new hu-brother to give him lots and lots of
attention.
Graden's owner died
leaving him in the care of two older grandparents who got to the point they just
could not care for him any longer. Now he is living in "Shih-Tzu Heaven"
with his new doggie brother Pint as well as a family who really knows how to
spoil a dog.
