RESCUES ADOPTED 2011 -  Brooke our 1st adoption of the year, was a Shih Tzu slated for euthansia because no one wanted to cover the cost of her surgery for bladder stones.   She is only 3.

  PENNY:  Is now having a lovely time with the 3 generations of a family she is surrounded with.   She will get quiet time with her new mom, after all day play time with the new kids to play with.  What fun!     

   JJ - was left homeless when his owner passed away.    Chris and Mary had a Bichon (their 4th in 25+ years) pass away, so combining the two was a perfect fit!. 

BUDDY:  is about a year old and had been bounced 3 times before landing with us.   We can't for the life of us figure out why as he is sweet and gentle in nature and was easily trained on a leash and potty with a routine.  He found a wonderful new family and we got to fly him to Boston and sneak in a vacation.  

GRETCHEN a cute little 6 pound Fuzzypup Bichon of 3 years needed a new home when her owner died.    She was scooped up quick!  If we had not gotten her into a new home, one of us would have kept her.   Her new owners actually adopted from our rescue almost 10 years ago!   

"Bobo"- approx 10-12 yrs old senior owner had to move in with family who already has too many pets, so Bobo and Lucky put them over the legal limit of pet ownership.      ADOPTED THANK YOU KEITH -

Note from Keith:   My goodness! Bobo and I are like best friends. He’s got so much energy and we went on our first walk yesterday at the pond. I’ve got to get them out everyday now. He also got a haircut and bath. He’s butch! I’ll send pictures tonight. I’ve been having troubles getting all three together for pictures. They won’t stop moving.  

The other night I was sitting in my chair and he jumped up in the chair and laid his head and body on my chest and went to sleep. He cried this morning when I had to leave to go to work. He wanted to go too. We’ll have a lot of fun together.I’m glad to hear that Lucky may have a permanent home soon. I’ll send the pictures as soon as I can.

  CHARLIE on the right with Stephanie will be hard to tell from his new doggie brother "Dollar" with Daniel on left - as they both look exactly alike.    Hopefully he will fit in with his new family as he has been bounced twice so is needing a secure permanant home to love him.  

  SOPHIE:  is a 10 year old Bichon who's owner went into assisted living and could not go with.   She found a great new owner on the Western slope who did not mind that she was in her senior years.    ADOPTED!   YIPPEEE

  Missy: was a 1 year old Shih Chon who found herself homeless when her military family had to leave the country.  She is going to get spoiled rotten now.

 Carmelita is a retired Fuzzypup! mommy, who needed to find a forever home.   She will get lots of walks and lots of visits in her new home. 

  Cleveland (Cavachon) was surrendered as he was too high energy for his owner  He was great!   He will get lots of interaction here as he has lots of extended family to share in his activities.   

Naomi: was a very shy lost and found dog who found a new home via the internet.  She flew to Washington to be with her new owners, who just loved her photo and story.   They had rescues before who were very shy, and felt up to the task of helping her transistion into a normal dog. 

QUESADILLA aka "Casey" (left) will have a great new home with Jill (a rescue from 2002) and Keith.   Keith also had his older dog pass on leaving he and Jill needing another companion.   Casey will get lots of treats and attention. 

Brittney  was an older rescue who found a wonderful older owner.   Helen had gotten a rescue from us 7 years ago, who had passed away and was heartbroken, so she and Brittney can heal together.  

Brooke (gold and white Shih Tzu) was found as a stray in OK then part of a rescue trade and sent to the Boulder Humane.    She was diagnosed with a bladder stone and needed someone to take on her surgery, so we took her in and got her surgery accomplished.   She is just the sweetest thing and will now have a Shih Tzu brother in addition to two lovely ladies who will adore her!
