2010 RESCUES ADOPTED INTO NEW HOMES
LOOK AT ALL THE SMILING FACES!
Scooter
1st adopted 2010 Rescue
BICHON FRISE RESCUE RANCH, Inc., A 501c3 Non-Profit, Corporation.
FIONA: A 5-year old Shih Tzu came to us from a local
shelter when she was not doing well there. She did great here for
the two months it took us to find Christine, who is going to share lots of love
and toys with Fiona for ever after. Christina came all
the way from Montana - so sometimes new homes come from far away even in the big
State of Colorado.
JEWEL-REE:Shih Tzu on the Left got a new mom and
doggie brother to hang out with when she was adopted.
CODY ADOPTED: And he is ready to
rock and roll out the door. He loves walks and knows that the leash is on
and he is ready to go. His new owner had a Bichon growing up
and parents still have Bichons, so she is so excited to have one of her own.
He came to us when he family had a busy schedule and just could not care for
him.
"Wobbie" - A 4 month
old Bichon who has joined a new family in Erie where he will get to play with a
little girl "cousin" and have a BIG Shephard brother to play with and
watch over him .
Sasha - A 7 month old
Bichon who has joined a new family in Denver where she will get to play with a 6
year old child - which will be just great for her. Sasha
was displaced from her home when her overwhelming personality was too much for
the other dog in her household to handle. She is perfectly suited
for her new home.
Karla - A 7 month old
Shih Tzu who was as happy as a lark to go to her new home - and they were
so excited to get her they came all the way from way up north in Ft. Collins.
Snoopy - A bichon boy
who had some allergy issues, but was very sweet. His issues were not
a worry for his new mom and dad and they are taking him home to meet his new
4-legged brothers.
MASON AND HIS SISTER MISSY:
WERE JUST A COUPLE OLDER "FUZZYPUP" SHIH CHON NEEDING TO MOVE ON INTO NEW HOMES
TO MAKE WAY FOR NEW PUPPIES. FUZZYPUPS GAVE THE PUPPIES TO THE
RESUCE AND THEY WERE POSTED AND PLACED WITHIN 24 HOURS! BOTH GOT
GREAT NEW HOMES WITH CHILDREN WHICH WAS EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED FOR THEM.
VINNY; was part of a couple of Bichon (see
Maggie below) who came to rescue when their owner was working too many
hours and had too many family commitments to give them proper attention.
Vnny is moving in to his new home, where he will have another dog to play with
as these people have children with another Bichon his same age!

Darrell, was a 4 month old puppy that
was returned the same day these people came looking for a new companion.
He loved them, and what's not to love for them to take him.
Now he'll have lots of attention and they will have their hands full.
CASPER: (Bichon on the left) was
4 when his owner passed away and he found himself in need of a new home.
He got a great place to start over again with lots of kids and another doggie to
play with. His new doggie sister also needed a new playmate as
her doggie companions had passed away recently leaving her to fend for herself,
so it was a perfect match!
Maggie:
Maggie got a great home with Pat who has a Shih Tzu
and husband at home needing a friend because their Bichon sister passed away.
Maggie promised to ease everyone's hearts by sleeping in their bed and taking
walks together. She looks really happy! (Maggie and Pat)
DARLA:
was needing new companion and it was love at first sight!
She has a stay-at-home (mostly) mom who thinks she is just peachy!
HAYLEE: was a 9-month old
Malti-Chon who was a pet-store puppy who had been there much too long.
She came in to rescue with a few "issues" that can easily be worked out with a
trainer and patience. Her family had already enrolled in the
PetSmart classes before coming to pick her up --- that's commitment!
WANDA: Has a new home with two new doggie brothers as well as humans to
dote on her. This one was a perfect match as she needed a fenced yard and
another dog - and a stay at home owner --- she got all three!!! See if we
just wait long enough, the right owners always come forward!
STACI: (Shih Tzu on Right)
Retired from mommy-hood and got a new home with a new doggie brother and she promised to behave herself with
him. Hope she listens. .
All the way from Goodland Kansas to get Mr.
Trevor:
who was a little senior who was homeless and the last
of the siblings to find a new home. He looks very content and new
mom and dad are going to give him tons of love.
DEVON: Became homeless when his
owner became homeless. Barbara and Jim needed a new companion to
fill the empty hole in their heart. Devon sealed
the deal with a kiss:

WALLEEE: Got a great new home
and older brother to hang out with when he was given up for adoption because his
little eyes had a smidge too much white on the sides of them to make it in the
show world, Lucky for the new owner!
KOBE; Was displaced when his owner of 7 years lost her
job and could not maintain him. He is going to get lots and lots of
love and attention in his new home. They came all the way from Grand
Junction to get him and at least one looks really happy at the new adoption.
Actually, Kobe loved him as well.
NOTE FROM KOBE'S NEW FAMILY: Just a note to thank you all for bringing "Kobe" into our lives......He is a real gem, everyone loves him and he loves everyone. He is a very lively and happy young dog, he loves playing with his toys, and growls "ferociously" when you play tug-of-war with him. He has adapted well, and fits into our family perfectly. Thanks again, Jim MItchell
Lulu Adopted -
got this photo and message:
Before my husband and I had our daughter Natalie, he was not an animal
lover, or even a fan of them. But having his own daughter softened his
heart to the idea. Now that we've had Sweetie for a few years, he has
come to understand the joy of having a pet, which surprises him still
today about himself. It's something he never knew as a child. The only
"encounter" he'd ever had was at age 18, when living out in the
country, walking to his car, was hit by a "surprise" attack by a stray
dog, that cut him up pretty good. (If he had been a young child, most
likely the result would/could have been fatal.) He has several scars
from the attack, which always served as a reminder that dogs were not
man's best friend. So, now you know why this picture is absolutely
amazing, as Sweetie has softened his heart, and helped him to know the
joy of bonding with a pet, and more specifically a dog. Thank you for
opening your hearts and giving us the opportunity to bring Lulu into
our family as the newest member.

PADDLE: got adopted and will
get lots and lots of exercise running with this crowd!
Thank you PetSmart for helping up place the
following rescues: Carmen:
The dog from hell, who everyone loved and hated all at the
same time. She had a few problems, which are typical for the breed, but
found a little gal that loved her with all her imperfections ... actually it was
our son's girlfriend...Jess and her are best buddies and they go everywhere
together
Puddle:
A little Shih Tzu puppy who was part of a litter of 3 who
found a great home with a family who needed another dog in the family to spoil.
The 3 came to us because one of the 3 hard a birth defect so was rejected.
We were happy to take them in and get them all new homes.
Dovey:
Also found a family with another dog to love on her.
She was a bit shy with them, but we know she'll be best buddies real soon.
Good thing she went fast, as I would have kept her for myself.
Snowy:
An All White Shih Chon who just kept getting
passed over, so we let her go to the rescue and she was actually very well
sought after.
Celine:
An All White Shih Chon who just kept
getting passed over, so we let her go to the rescue and she was actually very
well sought after.
Oreo:
An absolutely darling Shih Tzu who just kept
getting passed over, so we let him go to the rescue. He was adopted by a
little boy who had been lurking the website just waiting for a chance to adopt
him.
Suzi:
A 3-year old Shih Tzu who came from a family
who had way too many things going on and too many children for her. She
would hide under the bed. She was adopted by one of our owners who's
sister wanted a Shih Tzu. And as a one only child she will get lots
of love and attention
Karl:
A pretty big Shih Tzu boy who was just getting too
large to keep hanging around the Fuzzypups! so we sent him to the rescue along
with the others for the weekend and he found a family lickity split!

I
ended up taking Kassidy and Kelsie as you probably already know. They are
doing great! They are very sweet! They have made themselves at home in my
husband and my bed at night. They are little beggars in the kitchen and I
will need to break them of that habit as we do not feed our animals people
food. We also are having a little adjustment period with our other female
dog. Today it is better already.
They are asleep together at the moment on a giant pillow bed as I am working out of my home office. I will try to get my daughter to email you pics as I am really bad with that.
Kassidy loves the rawhides and Kelsie likes to fetch a little with soft toys.
Thanks,
SCOOTER - Became homeless when his owner
was taking care of an ill parent and just too much on her hands. Scooter
found a wonderful new forever home with Beth, thanks to Cindy (another family
member) caring enough to bring him all the way from Walsenburg - and donating
funds for his shots and grooming. Thanks Cindy for caring enough
about Scooter to bring him here. He and his new owner look happy don't you
think?
